Phillies Did It!

I am not a huge baseball fan, but am so happy the Phillies won the World Series. Being a Philly girl, it makes me happy. I was on the edge of my seat last night watching the final innings to see if they could pull it off, and boy did they. There just might be a cheesesteak celebration at lunch today.

How to be an Office Hero

I was feeling none too enthusiastic about coming into work today when I sat down to my desk at 8 a.m. and my hero, Eunice, called to say she was bringing in Dunkin' Donuts coffee and donuts. As word spread to everyone in out department, we practically applauded when she arrived. She is so good to us. Who knew a little donut with sprinkles could make me so happy? I am so thankful to have Eunice in my life, and not just because of the donuts and coffee. She is an inspiration to me every day. She is just about my parent's age, and is so active, stylish, and spunky. So she has just confirmed my already present hero worship that I have for her.

Duck, Duck, or a Goose

On my way into work this morning I must have seen 4 different groups of ducks and geese flying, what I am assuming is south, since I have absolutely no directional skills. I have heard geese every night flying over our house also. I so love fall, with the colored leaves, pumpkins, gourds, smell of wood fires, crispness in the air, the nesting feeling I have, but am so dreading the long, dark, winter days. I would love to be a duck or goose flying somewhere warm, and south. I am destined to be a "snow bird" in my later life.

Family Reunion in Nags Head

We spent the last week in Nags Head, Outer Banks, NC to celebrate Rich's parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. What a great time of relaxation and getting reaquainted with family we don't see often enough. Her are some photos of our trip.
