Camp Poor

You've heard of "house poor" but Rich and I decided we are "camp poor." I'm not complaining, and anyone with kids can tell you that camps cost a small fortune. We have spent the equivalent of a cruise for 2 on camps for Chad this summer. Rich mentioned this while we were hopping between three different thrift stores this weekend. Somehow I convinced him to go with me to search for that one unbelievable treasure at Salvation Army, Goodwill, and Volunteers of America. He said this is what we have been reduced to because we are "camp poor." I defend our actions by stating that that's where all the designers go on those home shows on HGTV. I'm not sure what thrift stores they are going to, but I have only managed to find a wicker foot rest for Lauren's room. I am not willing to cross the line to go to garage/yard sales, not to say I will not go down that road someday, but that seems to truly be sifting through some one's junk. I would consider an "estate sale," doesn't that sound better for some reason?
Finally, I am willing to be "camp poor" since Chad went to a kicking combine this past week and placed 3rd out of 200 kids, that ain't too shabby.
