Week 16: Almond Joy Cupcakes

Flavor match made in heaven.

Mini deliciousness.

Assorted looks for one yummy cupcake.
We have a lot to celebrate this week. We are headed to Florida for our nephew's wedding. My sister-in-law says that Logan and Missy are a match made in heaven. For me, nothing is a better match in heaven than chocolate and coconut when it comes to flavor combinations. I have had my eye on this recipe for awhile and now seemed like the right time to try it. I made these miniature knowing I may have a hard time resisting these and knowing I really want to fit into the dress I am wearing for the wedding.
I am enjoying the blog and recipes from http://www.yourcupofcake.com/. This cute girl knows her stuff. This recipe is one of her creations. I would freeze the cupcakes with the coconut topping before dipping into the chocolate next time. That's the reason I ended up with three different looks because of my impatience. Looks really don't matter with these. You will eat them too fast to realize what they looked like.

After we return from the wedding celebrations we will celebrate our cute girl's 24th birthday. She has requested the Zuccatto cupcakes I made a few weeks ago. For a girl that doesn't like sweets, I take that as a great compliment. I will post an extra time this week in celebration of the birthday girl.

Everyone really loved these Almond Joy cupcakes. Sometimes you really do "feel like a nut."
