Week 18: Baby Shower

This week we had a baby shower for a coworker and I made the Zuccatto cupcakes at the guest of honor's request. The mom-to-be has a horse named Jewel and that is a big part of her life so we went with a horse theme. She already has one little guy and another boy on the way so it was a perfect match. My friend Anna found an adorable template for horses that are joined with brads at the legs. They totally made the theme come together. We also had a chocolate fountain and everyone pitched in to bring all the delicious things to dip. It was kind of a brilliant way to have an impressive shower that was really very easy. I know it was appreciated and that makes it even more fun. Enjoy some pictures of the final presentation.

Coming up this week are Snickerdoodle Cupcakes. I am testing this recipe out because, wait for it, I got an order for 10 dozen cupcakes in September for a surprise 40th birthday party! I am so excited. It's a big deal to me. You never know where this will lead. Maybe nowhere, but it only takes one order to get the word out. I am trying to come up with a name for this potential cupcakery so I can place a business card on the boxes in September. I had a very cute name suggested to me but it is already taken by a bakery in N.J. Lauren suggested "ButterKups" playing off of my initial. What do you think? I would love to hear your ideas!
Finished table setting.

Diaper Cake someone made for the mom. So adorable!

Just waiting to be dipped in chocolate.

Chocolate deliciousness.

One of the horses we hung from twine and clothes pins on the ceiling. Very cute.
