It is bone-chilling cold here. Polar, Arctic or any other word you want to use. Anyone who likes it say "I". Hear that deafening silence? That's what I thought. No one in their right mind likes this.
Yesterday before the winds kicked up and the arctic air hit, I walked Gunther (hardee-har-har) and I looked over to my right and saw a flock of about 50 Robins! I was shocked and then alarmed at what they were going to do when the cold snap hit. I wanted to gather them up and take them somewhere warm and safe. Robin sightings are a big to-do with me and my mom. We always call each other at the first sight of one. I am not sure what to do with this information. I hope they were just passing through to warmer weather until they return for the spring to make me smile and know that winter is ending.
I have joined Pinterest. I was a hold-out. I wasn't interested at first. I thought it might be a waste of my time and didn't want to get caught up in the hype. Well, I am caught up. I love it. I love all the great ideas. It happended when the boys went to Florida to golf for a week and I was alone just looking at myself at night so I explored it. That was it, I was hooked. I was perfectly content looking at Pinterest on my iPhone. I didn't complain but Rich kept saying that my phone was too small to really enjoy it. What did he do? He brought home an iPad mini for me. How awesome is he? I really don't deserve him.
I had swedish meatballs on Saturday. You say, "So what." I say IKEA and swedish meatballs make me happy. We wanted a new TV stand and some sort of storage for Lauren's bedroom. We got both. If you haven't been there yet, Go! You will get so many ideas and even if you don't buy anything, will be inspired. If meatballs aren't your thing, there are other options too at their cafe and as you leave you will smell the cinnamon rolls baking. See, sounds like heaven, right? (I am in no way affiliated with the Swedish company IKEA or their affiliates and they are not paying me to promote their greatness).
