1) How many years have we been married? No counting or adding up, the first number that comes to your head.
28
Pretty sure he had to think about that because his rationale is to always add a year since we are working on the next year once the date arrives. He does it for birthdays and anniversaries so now I have no idea how old I am or how many years we have been married.
2) When did you first know you would marry yours truly?
The first week we talked.
I find this astonishing because I really did not care for him or his tight Calvin Klein jeans when I first met him and am pretty sure I probably was not very friendly. He has always been up for a good challenge.
3) Why did you lead me to believe you were not a redneck when we met? AKA, Don Johnson suit.
Finding my inner-self.
His redneckness has shown it's self more dominantly the longer we are married. He was in a linen suit with slicked back hair just like Miami Vice Don Johnson when we first met. There was not one sign of camouflage when we met. I feel slightly deceived.
4) In 10 words or less, please describe me. Not the morning me, the other hours of the day me.
Selfless , loving , beautiful inside and out, talented , honest, funny, animal-friendly !
Notice this is the real me, not the I don't want to talk to anyone or anything in the morning me. Glad he recognizes the difference.
5) When you realized we were going to have Garret, unexpectedly, what went through your head? I have never once asked you that question.
Cool, 3 kids!
We had our plans to have a girl and a boy and a dog and live in our Cape Cod happily ever after. Then when Chad was 7 months old, we found out we were having our sweet, feisty redhead boy. Chad was, let's say, not the easiest baby. He cried alot and ate alot! High maintenance is an understatement. Somehow the thought of another baby never even phased us at that time. We were both just really happy. Our world would not have been half as fulfilling without all of our kids.
6) What is your favorite thing about being a dad?
The fulfillment of teaching and helping and loving your kids.
He does that every day. Rich isn't afraid to let them know how it really is and what's "real". I know that's why our kids go to him first when they have questions and why they respect him.
7) What is the one piece of advice you would give the kids if you had to pick just one?
Always be honest.
I know for a fact that Rich follows this model in all of his worlds. That's is a big reason why he is so successful in sales. He is always honest with his customers. It's also why he is such a great husband and dad.
8) What is the favorite part of your job? IS there a favorite part?
Earning an order.
What he means by that is when he works hard for a customer and finally gets the order. It requires alot of mediating between various people to find the exact product the customer needs at the best price. I have heard him negotiating with many people throughout the years. He is good!
9) Why do you sing in the voice of the artist when singing along to a song? My favorite one you sing that way is “Bed of Roses” from Bon Jovi. Have you ever tried Karaoke, cause you would be great.
Cause i like too.
No shame or being bashful with Rich. He belts it out. It's very endearing.
10) What is your favorite hobby? Golf, hunting, fishing, buying me a Coach purse?
Coach purse face and golfing.
He says I get a certain expression when I get a new Coach purse, "Coach face". Who am I to take that joy away from him?
11) What is your favorite food? I think I know but please tell.
Anything you make, you are the best cook ever.
Good answer sweetie, but I am pretty sure it is a cream-filled donut. I like that he covered pretty much all of the bases when he said anything I make. I have trained him well in 28 years.
12) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Would you take me or leave me in the dust?
Anywhere with you! We have fun anywhere we go! No place in particular.
Another good answer but I think his real answer would be to a hunting cabin with the guys. They get pretty excited planning their meals, just chilling, watching sports, and walking in the woods. So I say he would probably leave me in the dust. That's OK, I know he will be back.
