Peace

That is my theme this year for the holidays. It hasn't been the most peaceful year for us although it could always be so much worse. I am so grateful for so many blessings but looking forward to a calmer, less dramatic year ahead.

It was so wonderful to have family around us for Thanksgiving, have Garret home and have cute Lauren help with making the dinner this year. Those are the things that make my heart happy.

Are there any gifts you are especially excited about giving this year? I have one that I can't wait to give just because I know the person will really like it. I love it when I know that I have thought of the perfect gift for someone. I wish I could be crafty and make some of the things that I see others making. I am OK with not being able to do that right now. I think someday I will when I have more time in a day and space to do it.

Here's to finding the perfect gift, baking the perfect cookie, finding the perfect tree, and remembering the perfect present I received when I was nine-years-old, the day I accepted the gift of salvation. Pretty sure that no one is a better gift-giver than Immanuel.
