This is my good side. |
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gun’r. Yes, that’s the right spelling. My new family said that their boy named Garret wanted to spell it that way. I already like that boy. I have a past, one my new family doesn’t know a lot about. I have decided to keep it to myself and just begin my story with my new forever family. I was rescued through the
American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue. This Rescue finds all kinds of Coonhounds and rescues them from (Gulp) kill shelters and places them in foster homes until they find a forever home. I am one of the lucky ones. I was only there a short time until I was placed with foster Becki and my forever family picked me almost at the same time. I think it’s my ears, but I don’t want to brag. Foster Becki has cared for me and got to know what I like, what commands I know and told my forever family. She has another B&T plus some other little dogs and cats. It was kind of crazy there and I think I am going to like being the only Coonie in the house and get all the attention.
I heard my forever family talking about another dog named Tucker. They really miss him. I have really big feet and ears to fill. They said he was a lot like me. He loved to be with them all the time, would do anything for food and made them feel loved. They said they don’t want to replace him but want to have another Coonhound to love. I am just glad they picked me. You should see the bed they got just for me. It is ginormous. Thick and fluffy like a cloud. I have never had a bed like that before. They got me my very own bone to chew and don’t tell them, but I saw some treats in the pantry. I am going to try to do whatever they ask and make them very happy they added me to their family.
I will keep you posted about my new home and people. Be sure to check in.
